I have seldomly posted here, but have enjoyed reading what others have had to say for quite some time.
Anyway...recently purchased a shotgun specifically for turkey hunting, a Rem 870 SM with a shur-shot stock and 23" barrel. Got a Sumtoy Customs .660 for it, and can't wait to see where that gets me!
Maybe it will make the time til next spring pass a little quicker having patterning work and whatnot to do???
Have a good one, everybody!
First welcome from Tennessee...and i'm glad you have a new shotgun.... :welcomeOG:
Welcome. Them shurshot stocks are great. I put one on my 1187 this year. Good luck with it!
:welcomeOG: You got one of the better dedicated turkey guns out there , over 12,000,000 made since 1950, nough said. Welcome aboard one of the better turkey forums.

It will probably prove to be a good turkey gun, bu certainly prove to give you a sore arm. I hate the nessary patterning of a gun.
:welcomeOG: and keep up posted in the pattern pictures section! I am sure that you will find a deadly combo that will give Ol' Tom a headache....permanently

Welcome to OG and congrats on what should be a real turkey killing combo! :wagon:
Welcome to OG. I have that same gun. It's a killer for sure. Love mine.
I have the same gun. Live the stock for turkey hunting. Try some longbeard ammo in it.
Good luck!!
Congrats...You won't go wrong with that....
That's a great turkey gun. I also have the Reminton 870 SM but with a Magpul stock & a 21" barrel. I'm sure you will love it. Welcome to the OG.
