Title: Turkey chokes!
Post by: big j on April 13, 2011, 07:31:57 PM
Dang Turkey chokes!! Man there are a few out there. What is the difference between a 25 dollar choke and a 100 dollar choke?

Depends on the chokes.  Sometimes like the Star Dot for the 835 a $20 choke can out shoot a $100 choke.

But the good chokes are typically Pure Gold, Sum Toy, Jelly Head, Indian Creek(stainless steel version), and Kicks.

beat me to it.
$45 and over they are most likely chokes that shoot hevi shot and are proven to pattern well.
But with hevi #7s most chokes look good.

only time i needed them was to ask a few questions before buying one. i had no problem getting in touch with them. as far as service after the choke i've never needed them. both rhino chokes i have owned have performed perfectly

I like my Rhino choke with nitro shells..  I may be selling their chokes soon. I talked to a guy the other day about that and it may work out as I only live about 25 miles from their shop...
