Title: Lohman The Wing Thing
Post by: Grey Owl on June 09, 2017, 09:33:20 AM
Just saw 4 of these at a little hunting store in the NC mountains. Still in the package but covered with dust. Did any of you ever try one.

Reg wing works fine. I should say the one I saw had flimsy quills too. Not sure if the window sunlight did that but it coulda been stiffer.

I keep a wing from at least one bird a year and make a real wing by cutting off a few of the primary feathers. I always have one in my vest they last a year or so if I don't loose them but they do work no doubt about it. I can't believe anyone would pay for one

I've used a real wing for a couple years now. Used my cap until I forgot and wore one with a metal buckle on the back. Won't do that again.
