Picked up some more for the collection last Saturday. We have Walnut/Ambrosia Maple and two Purpleheart/Persimmon. Three of the best calls I've played. Just plain sick. It's just to bad I can't take them out and use them NOW!
Great looking calls. I have never seen Purpleheart/Persimmon combos before.
They look great.
I saw that Lonnie had a nice piece of persimmon over a year ago. I asked him then if he would make two boxes for me out of it. He didn't think it was quite ready and needed a little more time to dry. Well here we are, they are awesome. I now have him making me two more out of that piece of persimmon. These will be Walnut/persimmon. Can't wait for those.
I just hope you left me one. :)
You will be overwhelmed with the calls. Listen to them all and have someone play them for you so there is a different perspective of the call. Plan on being there all day. I hope you have a blast.
I like the looks of that Walnut over Ambrosia Maple.
Fine calls. Congrats!!
Very nice trio!
I don't know where he gets his ambrosia maple from but it's always stunning,,,red cedar,Spanish cedar,,somebody should bring him a hunk of Alaskan cedar,,a purpleheart/ Alaskan cedar in his styling would be gorgeous.
I think I'll do that. Alaskan Cedar makes a great long box. I'm on it.
