First time hunting Nebraska and the weather was definitely a challenge. Finally got a nice tom. 22 lb 9 ounces, 11" beard and 1" spurs
Congrats on a great looking bird. I'm planning to do the same next year.

Awesome
That's a beauty for sure! That fan will look great on the wall. Did you hunt public or private for this guy?
Thanks. It was private. More then the fan is going on the wall, the whole bird will be displayed

Oooh, that will be nice. Can't wait to see what it looks like after it comes back from the taxidermist.
Beauty for the wall!!
congrats
Congrats! How was the weather and when did you go? We went the last week in April and it was a mistake. It was very cold with snow and the birds uncooperative. They were still in gobbler flocks, uninterested in the hens. We have had good luck previous years during the last week in April.
Gorgeous bird!!!
We went May 19th-21st. Weather was terrible. First 2 days were windy and rainy with highs mid 50s first day and mid 40s the next and lows in mid 30's. We got a break on Sunday with it being Sunny and 70. Birds were with hens but we managed to get a few to cooperate.
Excellent job...nice bird
