Title: Molly after polishing?
Post by: ka30270 on May 15, 2017, 01:45:20 PM
New member from NC so hey everyone.

Has anyone ever treated their shotgun barrel with molly to keep it super slick? Just curious, seems like it may help patterns, keep them consistent, and keep them consistent longer than polishing alone.

Stay away from the moly, it's messy & a real pia to remove from barrel. Does nothing to tighten up a shotgun pattern or help with consistency.

I would not.  Just keep it clean.  We have found that no oil or solvent works best after you get it good and clean.  Now if you put up after season or you been in the rain oil it up.  Just clean it out b4 you go out nest time.
