Well, the weather is finally breaking in the Northeast this week. I'm thinking that the birds are really gonna come alive and this is gonna be a killer week. Thoughts?

I think they are winding down a bit. Gonna have to get tight on em to get a response. They aren't done but they aren't on fire so to speak. This is in Md though. NY and some of the more northern states may see an upswing in the action. Good luck

Went out a about an hour or so this morn. Birds were gobbling good and one was about to be taken when hens intentioned. It was very close..
Good luck! Stay after it! :z-guntootsmiley:
I agree I think its about to get reckless in NY, They still have had all day hens and its been so wet I think they were waiting to nest. This week its gonna shift I think and the mature birds are going to find themselves a bit more lonely. Plan to hunt this Friday through next Monday if it takes that long to fill my last two tags.
I would tend to agree. I am in western NY and last week they started gobbling much better on the roost and I even found a lonely bird at 10:30 on Saturday. I would say the breeding season is changing and our odds should continue to improve.
