Thought I would share a photo from my WA trip this year.
Filled my WA tags for the 13th season running. Got in tight on a group of birds on a steep hillside. Probably 20 + birds . They were gobbling in the black dark and I was able to slip in close. After letting them know I was ready to be bred, 11 hens led 3 Longbeards into never never land. I shot the strutter at about 25 yards.
Buice Ironwood and my old faithful Mann paddle call closed the sale.WA is my favorite place bar none. These birds live in some gorgeous country.
Very nice :happy0064: :happy0064: :happy0064:
The obligatory end of hunt photo. Stunning country - while photos were taken, birds were gobbling in the meadow behind me. Until next May, the memories of this fantastic place will sustain me.
