Was a cold morning with frost but didn't deter the birds from doing their thing. Was pretty much a textbook hunt, lots of gobbling on roost about 150 yards behing me in woods, birds hit ground and went silent. About 10 minutes later two jakes came running towards decoys but turned away and went back into woods which was alright because right behind them was this boy looking for love and he took offense to the strutting jake decoy courting his ladies so he came in for a fight but instead got his ticket puched for a ride in the back of my truck. Can't wait until next year!!
