Post by: hawk on May 07, 2017, 08:08:27 AM
What call surfaces and striker combos work foe the keekee call. Also what are the characteristics of a ceramic surface.

Any pot will kee kee slate being tough. Aluminum, crystal or ceramic imo are best. I'm not a big ceramic fan, not enough rasp for me in the ones I've tried. The sound isn't exactly the way I like either. That being said I've got a Kaiser that when run w a Torman black locust striker is pretty good.
Normally on the rest of the pots I use dymondwood to kee kee on a pot

Any quality pot should have no issues doing a kee kee.

Agreed. My favorite surface is crystal for kee keeing. As said though , any quality pot will do it.
