Title: My son's opening day gobbler!

I wanted to inform everyone I have made a new turkey hunter,my oldest son killed a 15lb.  5.25in beard and 1/2in nubs, gobbling and strutting jake at 7:25 opening morning in NC,Moore co.the old gobbler had hens and went up the river, the jake came up and flew in to the decoys, he gobbled about 15 X.My son shot him at 35 yrd. with a load of old rem. hevi-shot 3in. 1 5/8 #6,he used my 3.5 New England single shot,full choke,killed it dead.he is so happy and 'm so proud of him he has came along ways to becomeing a good hunter,he is only 9,and well on his way of out doing me, I have not got one yet,.waiting on a long beard.Take a kid hunting,it is so much better.
