2 years ago while deer hunting in the fall I thought i got a case of chiggers on my leg. Turned out to be Lone Star Tick larvae. One month later my wife made a beef roast. That night went into anaphylactic shock. Now I cannot eat any red meat. Since then 4 other people i know had the same thing happen. Google red meat allergy for more info. Some times only one bite can cause this.

Its crazy, either you get Lyme Disease, a red meat allergy or Powassan Disease from ticks or you risk exposure to Lord knows what with permethrin or deet.  Double edge sword in my opinion.

Yes it's Alpha Gal. I think it was happening to me over time. I would eat red meat and the next day would have itchy throat, water eyes and felt like my heart was racing. The last set of bites just pushed me over the edge.
