Has anyone installed a limbsaver recoil pad on their 835? Turkey loads kick like HELL. Are they worth the cost vs the stock recoil pad?
Some say it helps. In my honest opinion, it makes little difference. Still going to rock back hard.
I put the Aerolite Limbsaver on mine this year.
It dulls the punishment down for sure.
The gun is still going to kick like always but it isn't as uncomfortable with the Limbsaver on. The Factory pad was very hard and the recoil felt was very sharp.

:morning:. Shoot a 3" load.
It helps some but I found more comfort from a cheekpad. I also filled the butt stock with sand. It isnt that bad now. Matter of fact my wife has shot it and didn't find it unbearable. Course she is tougher than a lot of guys I know.

I'll second a cheek pad helps. You just have make sure you have enough room to use it with your sight alignment.
God'a grip shotgun wedge is a good cheek pad. Got one on mine.

I have a spare air tech limbsaver for 835 if anyone is interested. I was going to install my 935 but it don't need it.
Y'all get something besides them dang mossturds you wouldn't have a problem! I like to be able to eat the next day! Not still be holding my jaw with my opposite arm that I shot off of because it's still unbearable.
Just kiddin. My buddy filled his with lead in the stock and it takes the beast. But then again he added some weight. Buy a 20 gauge!

In a word, YES. Felt recoil from 3.5" shells was reduced from "SOB" to "ouch." Went from KO to TKO.
Limbsaver plus a beartooth comb raising kit is money IMO. I never feel the recoil unless I'm sighting in my 835's scope but that beartooth kit is easy on your cheek.
