Title: KY Public land bird this morning

Birds were finally acting right this morning and I had no other hunters in the parking area of a wma. Had 3 gobblers in one holler and they were all gobbling real good for a change. Heard several birds fly down and had hens all over the hillside as me.  This gobbler followed a hen up a little too close and got popped at 35 yards after getting him to break strut. Soft slate and leaf scratching brought them in.  It's been a tough year for me so far but they were fired up today!
