Title: New Hunting Gun
Post by: Zombie1978 on April 19, 2017, 08:56:47 AM
Picked me up a new shotgun to hunt with. It is a Mossberg 835 wrapped in Mossy oak camo. Hoping it will serve triple duty as a turkey deer and duck gun.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170419/d1d0ad58f8f5f0fd57661549507b195b.jpg)

Hard to find a better work horse than an 835. Never owned one but I know plenty of people that do and they all seem to love them.

I've had 3-4 of them over the years. Used them for some upland bird and rabbits but mainly squirrel until last spring. Have an older NWTF model that has the rattle can looking camo pattern on it. Tried last year to kill a bird with it but had zero luck. Finally got it done this year and was pleased. If you're planning to shoot slugs, might want to get a different barrel. Unless I misunderstold something, it's heavily suggested to not shoot slugs in it because of the backbored barrel.
