I started the morning off setting up on a bird I roosted the night before. I made some soft clucks and purrs, and scratched in the leaves a little. He flew done and came right to me. He got about 25 yards, I missed not sure how, I guess I just rushed it. Well I leave that spot to find another one. I came up short in finding a lonely gobbler midday. So this evening I go to try and catch one going to roost. And sure enough here he came, closest he got to me was 40 yards. I just didn't have a clear shot. So he lives another day. Nonetheless it was a great day, lots of gobbling until about an hour after fly down.
