All,
about 3 weeks ago I found some decent turkey sign...droppings, feathers and sad to say a dead hen torn apart (probably by a coyote). After scouting this area, it does look like a good spot turkey's would use (older trees for roosting right next to smaller 3 acre field plot) Would the coyote killing the hen scare all the other turkeys that were there away or would they still likely be roosting in that general area?
Turkeys don't 'reason', so they aren't thinking, hey this is a bad area, we need to move...
That said, lots of other things could cause them to relocate - only one way to know, get your boots on the ground.
Not sure where you're located but where I live there's tons of coyotes. I hear them very often but they seem to cycle the area never staying in one exact place for too long. Now if they moved around I'd assume hunting n tried to grab a turkey here n there n the turks avoided those places, there'd be no where left.
Shed hunting is typically a late winter sport n turkey is in the spring. Check the area but I'd not expect them to be in the same spot, they may even move a few farms down. Listen for them n hunt where they are as long as you have access
There's no substitute for pre-season scouting. The more current that scouting info, the better.

I was shed hunting late this year...it was only 3 weeks ago. When do you scout before a hunt?
Right up until the day before the hunt.
Birds can move out within couple days...scout is the name of the game...
