Got in this morning real early but quickly realized someone was in my spot that I've been hunting for two years with no pressure. So I went the opposite direction only to have another jackalope come blow my set up. Not more than 15 minutes after shooting time I had eyes on four birds in my field, what appeared to be three hens on the far other end, I noticed a gobbler plop out of his tree 2-300 yards directly across the field. He noticed my strutter immediately and was seriously thinking about what he was going to do about it until someone rolls in parks and gets out of their vehicle. They took nearly 25 minutes to get ready, when they were already way late to the party as it was. While this didn't immediately spook the bird, he wondered off into the draw and I could hear him gobbling at the bottom of that hill. After that guy had walked to wherever it was he was going I got up took my lone hen and went to where that guy went down seeing if I could bring him back up the hill if a hen had moved in on his old location. After awhile of sitting and not hearing nothing any longer because only God knows what that goober was doing, I decided I'd call it a morning because I had classes to get to. Well on the way out, right at the fencerow was this guy, his friend, and a few hens. Not sure why they didn't run, but I'll take an easy bird after a frustrating setup.
