Title: Tristar raptor
Post by: Waynesworld23 on April 04, 2017, 10:18:11 PM
So after a trip to the local gun shop today I came across one of these guns. Great feeling gun shoulders well and isn't too heavy. I am looking at it for a back up duck and turkey gun. Does anyone have any experience with these guns as far as hunting reliability.

One of my rabbit hunting buddies has one in 20 ga. No problems so far for 2 seasons. I've considered it and the CZ 20 ga. but can't make my mind up.

I had one in 12 and it was a good gun.  Very streamlined and shouldered well.

friend of mine has one in a 20ga and it shoots very low. sent it back and they claimed to have fixed it but it still shoots low. he shimmed the rib and laid a dead blow hammer to it and now it shoots pretty close. I bought an Escort at the same time in 20ga and have never been so impressed with a shotgun in my life but, I let the local DNR Captain have it for his youngest son. He LOVES it. I'm just not an autoloader guy and that kid will get lots more use out it than me.
