So I have kept every tail from every turkey I have ever killed, yup you can call me a Fan-Addict. But until some recent changes in our DNR we have never been able to sell these "parts" from a turkey. Now I have some very special birds I have the fans displayed and would never sell, (Same goes for Spurs & Beards I would never sell) but in general I have way too many around the house... Last year I sold several Fan & Wing Sets to those who are buying strutter decoys and don't have these, I have been selling them again this year and while at a few shows I was looking for a way to display them for show/sale. In doing so I came up with a very inexpensive way to do this and now I am using this at home for my own fans to display :)
Ended up picking up these 8-slot wire file holders and they worked out great and less than $10 at Wally World.

Yup every fan :) I have given away quite a few over the years but kept and dried each of them before I did, now that I can sell them I have paid for Tags & toys for the quad and some other turkey stuff :)

Like that, been storing mine in a pplastic bin. :z-winnersmiley:
I keep all my beards and spurs. Some fans but not all. I generally keep a few feathers off every one and stick them somewhere. The inside of my truck looks like a turkey exploded in it.
I hate throwing away a fan because they are pretty but then I have no place to stash every single fan...yep you are a true fan addict, just add a stick and a GoPro holder and sell em for $100 each lol

Exactly...a co-worker just paid $60 + shipping for "turkey fan" umbrella. ::)
At least it might keep him some what dry if it's raining. :toothy12:
Creative, Nice!! :icon_thumright:
Oh the problems of trying to figure a way to store and display massive amounts of fans.....
I have one????
Looks good, and nothing better than getting some monies to get new toys!!
I have every fan beard and spurs from all mine everyone is a little different but all to pretty to get rid of.The first 1/2 dozen look a little rough and then I learned how to do a better job with the fans.
Cool...have to keep a few again...I quit saving them.

crazy how many people were walking around the convention with those turkey fan boxes sticking out of their bags. A plain old fan is easy enough to use, and is free, I don't get it. I guess the next thing they need to make is a pop up blind with a fan painted on it so you can walk around fields in your blind. Lol
