Title: Went scouting tonight... Seems like there's lots of birds...
Post by: new2turkey on April 10, 2011, 08:41:10 PM
Was sitting at home today after a long day celebrating my little brothers birthday, and decided to go to a local pit that I recently got permission to hunt. There were tracks everywhere!!

The pit is right on the edge of the woods, but I couldn't find a trail to follow to try to find their roost. The spot I have picked out now sits right between 3 entrances into the woods; one to my left, one to my right, one straight ahead, with a huge rock face that would sit at my back.

My question is, since I have to be out of the woods by noon, is it entirely possible that the birds willl not come this way until the afternoon??

Thanks guys.. Nick

Oh, and also would it be a bad idea to set up above them? Like on top of a sand pile??
