Title: 1st bird of the year

I was able to take my first bird of the year this morning. To top it off I had my six year old son with me. I can only hope 30 years from now he looks back on this day with great joy, because I will.

My son killed his first turkey, a Jake,  at 4yrs old and his 2nd, a long beard, at 5yrs old  (turkey season Bday). He looks as ready in that pic as he'll ever be.  Well done Dad for taking the time and patience and bringing him along for the hunt.  Congrats on a great memory!!

Don't worry he will remember that forever. I will never forget watching my dad take a bird for the first time can still hear the shot and the sound of wings beating the bird. Congratulations on a great bird and outstanding memory
