Title: Hybrid bird.
Post by: High plains drifter on March 29, 2017, 11:37:37 AM
A few years ago in eastern Montana, I was hunting a farm where there was a flock of birds probably 8 or 9 Miriam Jakes comma and two very strange-looking gobblers one, one was kind of came in and white colored, I think it was a tame bird and the other one, looked kind of like a wild bird, but with some kind of a weird hybrid. well anyway to make a long story short I did take this bird and he had a real strange tale not real big probably 15 16 pounds or so and he was some kind of a cross between a Timber and and a wild bird and I'm not sure if you could probably not. Is anybody else taking a bird like this?

DOW here has advised it is ok to take domestic birds mixed  in with wild birds any time, any method and with no tag required.  They don't want domestics interbreeding with the wild populations.
