Had a glade wall plug in air freshener damage my a lion rangefinder and another piece of hard plastic hunting equipment. Both are still functional at the moment but not sure if the plastic will continue to melt into goo I can scrape off with my finger. The rangefinders finish is messed up. Just be careful with your products. Both product looked brand new before and now reek of the cotton scent
You may be able too stop this with powder , like baby powder or something...I know years ago Weaver had a nice scope with a rubber coating and after time it would start getting sticky so they said put powder on it to stop it...
You sure you didn't get some DEET on it? That will do the same thing.
If not DEET, how'd you get the glade crap directly on your optics?
How in the world did that happen ? My wife has them things everywhere, smells like Bath n Body Works round here and they've never damaged a thing.....

??? was wondering the same thing
Not to hijack, but another similar word of advice... when draining old gas out of a blower, don't use a styrofoam Sonic cup to catch the gas.... lol
They were in the rangefinder case and the top was off of the pod and some may have leaked onto the dresser where're the case was sitting
Insect repellent will cause the same thing. I've known of the plug ins to cause any damage and my wife has them everywhere.
