Just curious, is this stuff going to be harder to get with the new importation laws? I know things woods from the rainforest were supposed to be an issue but my understanding is that this wood is more common but difficult to find a blank worth working with. Also, why do you never see a striker made of this material? Maybe someone has but I've not yet. Just wondering.
I just saw a longbox made by Ed Terefencko that has an Ipe lid and Blue Mahoe box. I would love to play that one.
I recently got an order in for pot call and box call blanks but it needed more drying. My understanding was there is still a good bit floating around. It's a little soft for a striker but makes an excellent pot, paddle and box.
