Title: Been a While-opinion- I.C. .660 choke with 2013 Rem. 870 supermag turkey gun
Post by: truedouble on March 14, 2017, 09:44:23 AM
I bought a 12 ga. Rem. 870 turkey gun (iron sights) and an IC choke 3 years ago.  I've been shooting Nitro H510H shells and am very pleased with the gun and pattern.

That said, I went to buy another box and the hunting store didn't have that particular load... I read the new Nitro chart and it listed H51013's as one of two options, so I bought a box.  However, both recommendations list a Rhino or Jebs 660 choke.  So question 1, does anyone have experience shooting that load out of my set up and if so how did it pattern?  #2, since it's been so long since I've been to this site (once I got my gun set up I was "good to go") any recommendations based on new shells, new etc.?

Thanks

You could call them (Nitro Company) and ask them how the performance was with the IC. There's no doubt they tested it.

If your wanting the best you could jump over to TSS. It's not much more expensive than Nitros and there's no worrying about someone not having the shells you want to shoot.
