Does anyone know the diameter of the factory choke that comes with the Winchester SXP,12 gauge, Longbeard model shotgun ? It say's Winchester, longbeard turkey on the choke tube.....
tracker#1, take a look at the Winchester FAQ's here for choke info: http://www.winchesterguns.com/support/faq/invector-plus-choke-tube-dimensions.html (http://www.winchesterguns.com/support/faq/invector-plus-choke-tube-dimensions.html)
I have the same gun but in auto. I have a rhino in it but just for fun shot the original choke designed for longbeard shells that's came with it that has the camp ring around the top and longbeard #5's at 40 the other day. Thanks guys :funnyturkey:
I called Browning/Winchester and they told me the choke diameter that comes with the SXP Longbeard 12 gauge shotgun is .665 :fud:
I confirmed this info this am with Briley who made the choke tubes for Winchester being used in the Longbeard model shotguns. I also inquired about recommended shot size as a local guy here blew up a barrel/choke yesterday with one shooting Longbeard #4's. Briley recommended nothing larger than #5 in this choke tube and that is consistent with every other choke I've owned over the years in .665.
