The season starts on Wednesday and I'm just trying to see what recent gobbling reports you might have from MS.

Heard one a few days ago, nothing since.
Sucked this weekend in Jefferson County, but I suspect weather had a hand in that. Weekend before they gobbled pretty good.
I was in Jefferson county on my lease and heard 2 . they gobbled well on the limb and was gobbling every 5 or 10 minutes on the ground until I left at 645.
I'm wondering if this really cold weather could effect them gobbling? It's suppose to be sunny and around 32 degrees on Wednesday.
Birds have been gobbling good on the limb. Thursday and Friday of last week they started gobbling a good bit on the ground. On saturday's youth hunt they gobbled a little bit on the limb and we didnt hear a gobble on the ground until a little later in the morning.
I am planning on just listening Wednesday morning as I won't have time to get a hunt in before work. The weather has been pretty bad since Saturday afternoon and it has rained/cooled off most of the day today. Forecast keeps going back and forth for the end of the week/ weekend. Hoping we get a couple of nice days to get them cranked back up.

Can't wait to be able t ay them words good luck
the way the weather is, I'm not going to waste any vacation days, see what next week brings
Gobbled good yesterday morning, not a peep this morning.
A friend of mine hasn't heard a gobble the last two mornings of scouting. 32 degrees this morning when he was out.
Some say that the cold affects gobbling. It may slow it a bit but I have killed several birds in below freezing temps. Back in the 80's it use to be a common occurence to have a cold snap around easter every year. I even remember it snowing one Easter and we still killed birds. I hope everyone decides not to waste any vacation this week. It will give me the woods to myself.
Looks like have to wait next week for better weather.
35 degrees this a.m and im geared up. Thing about turkey season is its short. I most likely have more seasons behind me than left in front of me so im gonna be hunting them every chance i get.
