Title: Berreta xtrema hevi choke .671 3.5/ 2.25/7's
Post by: Longshanks on April 09, 2011, 02:54:25 PM
Killed a turkey (10.5 in beard and 1 in spurs) this morning. Turkey was 15yds and closing in a full strut.  Dont like to shoot one in strut but it almost became self defense.  Needless to say the turkey took a serious blast with that combo at that distance.

By the way guys..be careful eating a turkey you shoot with hevi 7's.  Tremendous amount of shot in turkey and its hard to get it out no matter how thin you slice it...just broke a tooth..

It not just 7's. I shot a couple birds last year with the Hevi 6's at 45 steps. I missed a few shot in the breast while cleaning the bird but found them later with my teeth. It ain't like biting down on lead. :o
