what is the best jake decoy that I can still fit in my vest?
primos Jake mobil fits in my vest
If you are talking the back of a vest... Then the answer is easy DSD Jake. They vest is designed to put a dead bird in so the decoy will fit. If you are talking to fold up and fit in a pocket someone else may be able to provide you that info.
If you still want to pack a bird out in that vest after the kill, DSD does come with a carry bag :) You could use then.

I use the vest for the dead gobbler ....lol , and keep a decoy in the bag so that the head is not viable for safety reasons
I kinda use the vest to keep the decoy in the bag ..sometimes , but geting the decoy out to set up requires removing with time and motion ---from the vest etc...
I think it's Montana that made a 3D pop up jake. It's not pretty but it weighs nothing and packs away small.
If youre talking most compact, i second the Montana 3d jake... it isnt the prettiest but it packs up as small as a dinner plate and 1.5 inches thick, i added real tail feathers on mine.
I wouldn't pack around a DSD anything in my turkey vest,to cumbersome. Montana or any foam collapsible will work good.

I think a set of dsd or avains are hard to beat for an actual field decoy set if you want something to carry all day and not know it's there the Montana is excellent. I just the hen and it's slick how small and light the thing is

I'll second the foam collapsible type. Takes the least amount of space and, when carried in the back of your vest and not deployed, provides a little extra padding between your back and the tree you are leaning against. ;D
