Has anyone had any experience with a saddle scope mount for a 870 Super Mag , Good , Bad ?
I just put one on a 870 sm. First time I have ever put any mount and optic on a shotgun. Its sighted in. I do like that I can still use my open sights. Mine is the B square mount. They come in plastic or aluminum. I like the aluminum better.
Thanks
I also use the Aluminum B Square mount. Had it on the gun since I got it and haven't had any issues with the scope shifting.
I have a B-Square aluminum mount on my 870SM. It's a little bulky/clunky looking(to me anyway), but works. I put a Mueller holographic sight on mine. I tried a Weaver plastic saddle and it was very flimsy. The rail where the sight sets would flex just by pushing on it with your thumb/finger. I'm thinking of trying the mount in shown in this thread: http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php/topic,71046.0.html
I use the Truglo red dot with the integrated mount. Had one on an 870 Express, now have one on an 870 Express Super Mag. Works very good.
