was looking at the carlsons long beard tubes and noticed they sell different restrictions for different guns. the remchokes are a .660,crios are a .665, Mossberg a .683 yet the mobiles are a .650. why particular restrictions for different guns? and why such a difference in size? I have a sbe1 but a .650 seems extremely tight
It's usually relative to barrel diameters.
For example the mossy 835 is a backboard barrel which is essentially a 10 gauge barrel. Choking down to much tends to "blow" the patterns. Hence larger choke diameters for larger barrels.
