Title: Quaker Boy Triple Threat
Post by: jakebird on March 06, 2017, 08:02:31 AM
Been cleaning out my vest with the intent of shedding weight and excess calls I don't run much. I have an older Quaker Boy Triple Threat that has three surfaces- Aluminum, slate, and acrylic. I'll be darned but that cheap old pot just sounds BETTER than any other pot I own, and I have more than a few and several are customs. So I finally did it. The old Quaker Boy will be the only pot in my vest this year. Add three strikers and I have a ton of sound combinations. Can't believe that thing sounds better than all my others but over the last couple years I started to realize it was creeping up the depth chart. I'llstill pack one compact box for long distance calls and my normal small arsenal of mouth calls, though. Just curious how many other guys have found that this call has exceptional sound and playability for an inexpensive production call.

I could never make this call sound like much , but my friend Pat could make it sing, he killed a bunch with it. Mike
