Went out patterning the shotgun today. Remington 870 20ga. 28" barrel and RS/F 570 choke. Useing Hevi 13 3in # 7 shot 1 1/4 oz, 10 mph wind.
These are my first shots with this ammo.

30yds Taped

These patternd better for me then the federal heavyweight 3in #7 shot 1 1/2 oz which got 90 in 10" circle at 40yds.
Hopefully this will do the trick as season opens next weekend. :z-guntootsmiley:

I have the exact same setup and I was getting in the 130's last year. Pretty similar results.

Looks like you're set to go.

I got very similar numbers as well through that exact set-up. That is definitely a bird buster!!!!

Have any of you had or seen any problems with shooting hevi shot out of your Rem. SF chokes. I have one for my 20ga. and it says lead only but I was thinking I had seen on the 12ga. forum that guys where shooting hevi shot through these chokes. I was wanting to get some H13 7s for my 20ga. and a new choke but it looks like the one I have is getting good numbers out of yalls guns.

Here is the one i got. It is for hevi, steel or lead. Remember to select the right guage.

Thanks guys. I talked to Remington and they said no Hevi. I guess for $10 I will get the SF for Hevi and give it a try.

This is why those of us shooting the Hevi SF are not putting up the same numbers. I have the Hevi and it is terrible compared to others.
