Title: Good sign for season
Post by: ThunderChickenGetter on March 02, 2017, 02:07:38 PM
Went out coon hunting last night at one of the farms i usually turkey hunt. Of course, the night that I wasn't feeling like walking a lot, my dog treed 850 yards from where i cut her loose. Anyways, on the way to her i walked through some of the woods i hunt often and from what i could see with my light there was fresh turkey scratchings and droppings everywhere! Glad to see there are some birds back in the area. Now i need to get out and listen for some gobbling

Greg, she had him in the very top of a giant oak tree. Made the walk back knowing it wasn't for nothing. Couldn't shoot it out because season is over here but it sure makes you proud of your dog.
