I have purchased a TRS-25 red dot but I've tried 2 different "11-87" weaver rails and they don't fit the receiver correctly. The gun was made in 1998 so you guys with the even older original treebark, greenleaf, and etc. guns what are using for a rail? I would much rather have a rail and it drilled/tapped than using a saddle mount.
I have the same gun and have went to 3 gun shops and can not find a 11-87 mount that fits mine the weaver mounts for a 11-87 the holes are farther apart than my holes on my gun.

Have you measured the distance between the holes. Does a standard weaver or warne mount align with holes? I would measure holes and contact William(sumtoy customs and order one of his mounts) it should fit like a glove and be the best option on the market in my opinion. Let me know what you do I would like to see pics. I am wanting a 11-87 20 guage. Currently have a like new sa-459 weatherby I'm wanting to sale to buy me a 11-87 20 guage.

You do have another option, I have a cantilever barrel mount on my 1187, the gun serves double duty as a goose gun too. I swap barrels back and forth between seasons with no issues.

Here is mine 12 gauge I would like a longer barrel for geese but I don't have the funds now and I have killed a load of geese with the 21" barrel. I just had the red dot sitting there it was not mounted I sold it and am going with the TruGlo vent rib mounted rifle sights.
