I use hoppes 9. Cleaning with brush doesnot seem to work. I use scotch pad or oooo steel wool with drill and hoppes 9 this works great . Do u think I will scratch barrel over time?

Hoppe's #9 needs time to allow the chemical action to work. http://allaboutshooting.com/blogs/blog/98772615-deep-cleaning-a-shotgun-barrel Steel wool is pretty abrasive and can actually remove metal from your bore.
