I know another vest thread.
I'm hoping to get a new vest before season starts. If I can swing it. I spent a little more money than I intended at the convention.
I have the Ol Tom essentials vest. I like it a lot ,It's well made but it's for a minimalist style hunter. I like to carry a little more than it will hold comfortably.
I wanted to look better at the vests at the convention but was rushed and didn't get to compare the 2.
I did notice with the SE 2 the pot call pouches had a nice foam divider pocket. I didn't notice that with the Ol Tom. Like the magnets on the Ol Tom seats compared to buckles on the SE2.
The Ol Tom appeared to be lighter overall than the SE 2Other than that I didn't get to really pick them apart like I wanted to.
Those of you who have one of the 2 could you post a little review of them and maybe a few pictures of the layout of pockets?

Well I have had both....there are things that I liked about both...there are things that I did not like about both...liked the lightweight Ol' Tom essentials, my complaint was the seat magnets were not strong enough and I ended up having to repeatedly keep putting it back in place...annoying to say the least...pocket layout was so so....box call pockets were a bit small and I very rarely take two with me so I thought that could have been a better use for something else. SE2...I like you really do like pot call pockets and overall layout of the vest. I never felt like one really fit me all that well. I don't know why they insist on putting that box call pocket on the front like that. IMO a box call pocket should be on the side not in the front. I do like the SE2 vest style I don't know where you hunt but I was always burning up in mine. So all that being said my vote would be the SBE2 for storage and overall comfort and usability.

Bought a super elite 2 last year. Have been pleased with it so far. Plenty of storage for me.

I received the Super Elite 2 vest today
I really like the layout and the room for storage it has. Can't wait to get some use out of it. Love the comfortable seat cushion. The Greenleaf camo looks great!
