Been a busy week...scouting, organizing, etc. etc. Pretty sure I'm set. Setting the blind this afternoon on some NEW property that I just acquired on Tuesday for the Iowa opener next Monday. His place looks pretty sweet and he has given me the layout and their patterns in the AM and evenings! He says the "group" roosts in the timber behind his house and they cross the creek by the downed cottonwood then up to the road by the trailer!! Guess what...he was RIGHT!! A couple 3-4 nice mature gobblers I watched this AM...and I'll tell ya...they were FIRED up!! Stick and string for 1st season. Went to the archery range yesterday, wanted to get some time in shooting in the wind. It appears that I am dialed in and ready to roll, bow is sighted and tuned, broadheads are sharp! These DSD's are needing some blood spilled on them! Hope to tag early here so I can get on to SoDak and KS, then back for 4th here in Iowa then up to Minn to hunt with Nik! Lets get this thing a rollin!!!!
Good luck ghillie hopefully it works put for you Monday AM. I am heading out Monday for the IL opener then again on Friday for the IL second season. Monday can't get here soon enough!
