Title: Question on scoping a Remington 11/87
Post by: copter wrench on February 21, 2017, 07:49:42 AM
Bought a saddle mount from Bass Pro(picatinny rail). On the fence about scopes. What is the difference between Simmons Master Series pro diamond 1.5-5x32 and pro hunter 1.5-5x32. Natchez shooting has the Master series for $49.99 and pro hunter for $69.99. They also have the Tasco world class proshot 1.5-4.5x32 for $41.99. Read lots of great reviews on the Simmons on this sight. This is a 12ga, 3", 28" barrel with a Kicks XFull choke.

Simmons pro diamond is a fantastic scope especially for the money! I prefer red dots because of eye relief. I like scopes but make sure you have enough relief!!!! Scope eye is horrible. I will also add that with the b-square the scope sits up pretty high and it may cause an issue if you have a standard stock because you may get blind spots in the glass and if not lined up properly will cause poi issues. The red dot well wherever the dot is and not matter the circumstances that's where the pattern goes!  Good luck.

The Simmons ProDiamond 4x32mm Matte Black Shotgun Scope is a very rugged scope that give you 5.5" of eye relief. It's a fixed 4 power which is all you'll ever need for hunting turkeys. I've used them on several guns for years and they just work. I recommend this one over the adjustable power scopes.

Thanks,
Clark
