It's a nice looking call at a good price.  But why use walnut over walnut?  What sound properties are you seeking by using the same wood?

How does that half-moon on the body figure into the sound?

That call is all turkey.  I bought almost the exact call before the season.  So far 4 Rios have been sweet talked into submission with it.   :you_rock:

The all walnut call is an all around favorite in my neck of the woods. Great tone, good volume and can purr with the best of them. 

The half moon sides are the easiest to tune and control, IMHO.

Way to go Sand Man! Got any extra breast meat?
