Anyone using this scope? I'm thinking about upgrading for the upcoming season.
I've heard and read good things about them. That would be my choice if my Nikon Turkey Pro gave up the ghost and I didn't have a couple spares. After going to a turkey scope many years ago I wouldnt go without. Close in or 40yds = Tag filled....
Go for it. I ended up getting the Leupold 1x4 and am happy with my choice way back 25 years ago. But if I was getting a new gun set-up, that would be the scope I'd go for now. :gobble:
Is 7x too powerful to use as a range finder for close shots? I'm just throwing that out there. I'm a big Leupold fan but I do not know enough about the power settings for the range finding function on this scope. Typically, the scope needs to be set at the highest setting for range estimates. If anyone knows, pls share with us. Good luck.
If they are close why would you need to worry about it. Have it set on x2 aim at waddles and it should be lights out.
I have this scope on my 20ga slug gun. I love the scope. I like the circle plex I just put it on my target and pull the trigger. Never thought about it for turkeys, but I am sure it would work well.
I don't use any of my scopes on the highest setting on my shotgun...rifles different story ...

Me neither.....made that mistake one year. Had the scope turned up to high by mistake, bird came in and branches, leaves, brush was magnified and couldn't find his head in the scope. Needless to say I left emptied handed that morning.
I have one and it is a very nice scope I actually prefer it over a nikon turkey pro.
