Got a new 835 and it is really hard to get off safe position to shoot. Tried a little oil and working it back and forth but stiil to hard to be sitting in a shooting position and get off safe. Anybody got any ideas or helpful hints?
Thanks
I would be on the phone with Mossberg, sure they will have a solution.
Or you can buy a enhanced safety.....I put one on mine last year and really like it. I think I got it off midway USA for around 12-15$
Yeah look at a tactical safety for it.
Some of them are way too tight. If you work it a lot it may free up a bit. My 935 is/was like that, ended up with a tactical safety.
New guns are full of cosmoline type greases and junk. Something is in there making it hard to work. I'd look on the youtube and see how the trigger group comes out, the Mossys are super simple. You can have this fixed in 10 minutes I bet. I'd be pulling it all out anyways, mossbergs are notoriously dirty from the factory. While I was in there it would get a new safety tab and a M-carbo trigger spring kit. For minimal $$ you'll never worry again.

Ditch that Mossberg and get a Remington.
