That will work, but its a little low on numbers for Mag Blends.

you guys are used to seeing 300 pellets in a 10 circle at 40 yards lol!   i think this will be plenty fine at 40 and 45!
im just looking for a good load to kill turkey, not a competition load/choke/shotty!.  im sure the gun and choke have potential to put up better numbers but i think this will do for the hardwoods!.

your pattern is definitely blown a bit, that .660 is too tight, try a .665 of .670 and your pattern should clean up well

but as you said it will kill a turkey so if your satisfied with that then your good to go

Glad you found what you are looking for Lon, that will take one down at 40 with no problem.  Good luck and post a picture of him!  :z-guntootsmiley:

I was shooting the same load this afternoon (Temp 77-F) in a 24" Browning BPS with a Pure Gold .670 for the purpose of zeroing my Bushnell Trophy Red Dot - my pattern results at 40 yards:

166 pellets in 10" and 265 in 15" (out of approx 400 possible in the 3", 2 oz. Mag Blend load).

175 pellets in 10" and 262 in 15".

It will kill a bird at 40 if you do your part. For comparison my Beretta with a .665 Undertaker puts 175 at 40 yds with Mag Blends and 255 with 7's at 40 yds. I shot a gobbler at 48 yards last year with the Mag Blends but I'll be using the Hevi-13 7's this spring.

Here's what you should be able to expect with Mab Blends and the correct choke.  345/10", 65/3", 40 deg. 70% hum.. .  All be it, it was only at 34 yards taped as I didn't have a ton of room to work with that day and I did pull the shot a tad, but I only expect to lose 10-15% pattern at 40...maybe less once the weather warms up.   ;D

i would look at a .665 jellyhead or a .670 pure gold or a 665-675 indian creek, there are a lot of 5's in that load and the 5's need a bit larger choke than the 6's and 7's
