which should i start with the 6 shot or 7 shot, going to be shot out of a stoeger m3500 and pure gold 670

For the knock down, I'd shoot 6s.  You won't have to 250-300 numbers but will be over 200 and have a hard hitting load there.

Go with the #7s, there are plenty of pellets in that load and the knock down of the HEVI13 #7s is plenty enough to kill turkeys at 40yds.

You should be able to kill turkeys with both but the 7's seem to throw a better pattern in all three of my turkey guns.  Shot a turkey this a.m. at 40 yds  3/2/7's....amazing results.
