Between dymandwood, webwood,dynalux and spectraply?
The spelling of the words. :TooFunny:
I'm sure that the call makers will chime in here shortly but the best I can tell some are harder than others. Of the bunch, I prefer the spectraply as I've found it to be less picky on most surfaces. Maybe it's me but I've yet to find a dymondwood striker that I've liked enough to really warrant carrying it. I know some of the makers have mentioned that some require keeping the tools sharpened because of the hardness issues. Of the group, webwood is the only one I've not used.
Dymondwood is a dyed resin impregnated laminate that is basically 40-50% plastic and it totally waterproof and very strong.
Spectraply is a basic laminate made of dyed wood (birch). It is not resin impregnated a N thus fairly strong but will absorb and retain moisture.
Dymalux is a bad imataion of dymondwood that has a very low strength factor do to being brittal but it does make a good striker.
Webwood I have no experience with.
