Been gaining strength everyday, and have been spending time in the shop. I have been working on this one for a while, (3 months) and finally got it finished today. Made from 5160 steel, it measures a full 12" long with a 5" blade. It is also 1/4" thick, meaty and mean. That is why I call it my Diamondback Series. The handles are made from Arizona Desert Ironwood, with 1/8" brass pins and the bolsters are made from the same 5160 steel stock I used for the knife. It has been austinized to 1450 degrees Fahrenheit and heat tempered to 450 degrees for 4 - 1/2 hours. The sheath is one I had in the shop but I am going to make one for it. What do y'all think? pappy

Real Nice Pappy.
:drool:beautiful knife!
1/4" of 5160 will be one heavy-duty blade. Really clean lines and great fit and finish.
That's a sharp looking knife Jack! Since I have joined here I keep running across your calls. Your work is impressive, I've got to visit you sometime when you are making some of those calls.
