Title: Mossberg 835 synthetic butt stock

This may seem like a stupid question but can the butt of a synthetic 835 be cut down an inch or so? I love my gun but its a little bit too long when I have my coat on. Thought about a tactical butt stock but didn't know what I could do with mine. Thanks Jeff

I see no reason why you couldn't. There would be no way to mount the recoil pad, so you would have to use a slip on.

Here's another great choice https://www.atigunstocks.com/akita-shotgun-stock It's adjustable from 12 3/8" to 14 3/8" and has a great recoil pad on it. I have these stocks on several of my guns, as does Doris. It allows both of us to use whatever gun we choose.
