I'm looking to put a scope on my Mossberg 535. Any advice on what kind or brand?
I love my Bushnell Red Dot. About $50 and holds up with 3 1/2" 12 guage Hevi's. I've had this scope on my 835 for almost 10 years with no problems.
Leupold 1x4 shotgun scope. Comes with the extra heavy reticle. My scope of choice for the last 26+ years now on my Winchester 1300.

I have a Pentax lightseeker on mine. Don't think they
Make them anymore but used to make them finished in mossy oak. I really like it and it has been a great scope. Have it mounted on a 870 super mag.
I have 2 of the Nikon turkey pro scopes, these are the best if you can find one...also Simmons makes a good turkey scope for the money...
I own a Burris m-tac , with 30mm rings -- man is it nice .......

I've had a Simmons Pro Diamond on my 11-87 for probably 10-12 yrs. never a problem, would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced scope for Turkeys.
Greg
Just remember that scopes add additional weight to your shotgun. Look at a Mueller Quick Shot. :turkey2:
Don't forget about the red dots like Burris ff3
I have the Bushnell Trophy Turkey Scope on both of my 1187's since the early/mid 90's and never a problem, I call them the "Circle of Death"

This here as well. Tried the bushnell and did not like the reticle at all. The prodiamond is the way to go.

The good thing about the Pro Diamond is that if the birds head fills the diamond, you know it's in range. I believe they've said if the head alone fills the diamond it's something like 30 yards. It it takes the head and waddles to fill the diamond it's around 40 or so. Helps with range estimation.
I like the idea of the diamond reticle, but I have never used one. Never had a problem with my 1x4 Nikon.

partial to red dots myself. Great fov, no tube to line up and allows for quick reaction.
