Title: Choke?
Post by: Fatbeard on January 08, 2017, 12:18:29 AM
My son won a Beratta A300 tonight that came with a truglo turkey.665 choke in it. Never shot a truglo. Should I go ahead and get a Indian Creek or Jebs or is this choke worth trying? This is a 3" gun

Truglo makes a good choke. I would check it out before dumping $80-$100 on another one unnecessarily. Good luck.

Don't hurt to try... Unless you're recoil sensitive.

That sounds like a "Gobble-Stopper Xtreme" turkey choke from Truglo. It's a very good choke tube and is very similar in design to the Mark Bansner turkey chokes that are so prized by hunters and collectors today. That choke is rated for all lead and tungsten-based shot, including Hevi-Shot products.

I'd just be certain to "deep clean" the bore and you should be ready to go.

Thanks,
Clark
